Aims of the study

  1. To explore the experiences of physical activity of mothers and fathers as their children move from infancy to primary school.

  2. To investigate whether experiences of physical activity vary between mothers and fathers during this period and if so, how.

Design

This is a qualitative study as we want to explore the experiences of physical activity of mothers and fathers. One-to-one semi-structured interview via Zoom were used. Parents of at least one child aged 7-11 years old were recruited through community clubs, primary schools and work places. Snowball recruitment was also used.
