The INTERPLAY UK project is aimed at promoting adventurous play amongst 6-12 year old children in the UK. Adventurous play is a type of play where children try out some challenging activities during which they experience some fun, thrill and learn to manage their own boundaries and fears (e.g. climbing a tree).
Children love this type of play but parents can sometimes worry about possible risk to the child. Adventurous play is important as it been shown to be beneficial for children's physical and mental health.
